Oil on linen

I lived very close to the Loch Raven reservoir in Northern Baltimore County. It had been raining all day but once the sky began to clear, I sketched the scene quickly from the bridge on Dulaney Valley Road and then went back to my studio and roughed in the painting capturing the mist on the water's surface and the blue sky peaking through the drifting clouds.
