My paintings aim to blend scientific detail with symbolic depth, I focus on capturing the intricate structure, texture, and character of each species, and also present them at their most captivating—vibrant colors, flattering poses, and pristine feathers. My goal is not only to represent these birds with accuracy but also to highlight their innate beauty and charm. I hope to foster an appreciation for the unique species that inhabit our parks, cities, and yards. I want each piece to serve as an invitation to reconnect with the natural beauty that surrounds us every day.

The Great Blue is often seen standing motionless in the water. Hunting slowly and deliberately, these birds wait for just the right moment, striking quickly with their long, thin beaks.  They will also use their large feet to stir up mud in the shallows, uncovering small prey and attracting fish. Intuitively knowing when to wait and when to stir things up, this Heron has become a symbol of patience and wisdom.
